Handoffs and ending
Hand the session to a person, another agent or another flow — or end it cleanly, with a closing line that always completes.
Every conversation leaves the flow one way or another. These nodes decide how.
Transfer Call
Hands the live call to a phone number or SIP address. A cold transfer connects straight away; a warm transfer speaks a message to the person picking up first, so they know who is on the line. More in Call transfers.
Agent Handoff
Hands the session to a different agent. The session continues under that agent's own flow — same conversation, same contact, same session state — optionally narrowed to one specific flow of that agent.
Reception hands a caller asking about invoices to the Billing agent, which brings its own persona, voice, tools and credentials.
Flow Handoff
Continues the session under a different flow of the same agent. The agent's identity, memory, variables and active states all carry over, and the caller is not transferred anywhere.
A qualification flow reaches a booking request and hands over to the booking flow, which already knows who it is talking to.
The target is referenced by id, so renaming it is safe. On chat and on Kilevel's own voice pipeline the switch is seamless; on hosted voice providers it is carried out as a live transfer, because those fix the assistant when the call starts.
End Session
Ends the call or chat. With a closing line, the hang-up rides on that line: the call ends the moment the audio finishes, so there is nothing to time and the goodbye always completes.
Note
All four are terminal. Any state changes on the way in are applied before the session leaves.
